Jill Soloway received the DGA’s award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a comedy series for Transparent. As a new member of the Directors Guild, she called it “a great welcome gift.” Amazon Studios and Jill Soloway’s team have had a successful awards season for this hit show. Awards include two Golden Globes (Best Actor, Best TV Series), which marks an Amazon first, and Satellite Awards including Television Series (Comedy/Musical) and Actor in a Series (Comedy/Musical) for Jeffrey Tambor. Recognition also came from the Writers Guild with nominations in the categories TV Comedy Series, New Series and Episodic Comedy for the episode “The Wilderness.”
